Horror Comes to Toronto @ the Reel World Film Festival - April 15-19, 2009

Once again, slim horror pickings at another mainstream film fest. This time around it's the Reel World Film Festival in Toronto, Canada.

No outright horror to speak of but there are several interesting short films with either an apocalyptic bent, paranoia, or death angle to them, plus, one feature length comedy about decapitation and circus freaks. There's still hope.

Also, Giancarlo Esposito, best known as Buggin' Out from director Spike Lee's DO THE RIGHT THING is a guest speaker. Yes, his horror CV is limited, but how can you not want to see an actor who starred in the television adaptation of Peter Benchley's CREATURE, about a mechanical shark, and also a B-movie gem called CHUPACABRA TERROR.
